Ethio Telecom and Safaricom Ethiopia have successfully completed the multi-sectoral negotiations with the Ethiopian Communication Authority on infrastructure sharing and connectivity.
Ethio Telecom is expected to sign an agreement soon between Ethio Telecom and Safaricom.
On the other hand, Safaricom Ethiopia has previously stated that it plans to launch services on April 9, 2022; However, the service did not start on the scheduled date and is expected to be operational soon.
